How Did We Get Here?

The Story So Far

Collette and Jerry swiped right on each other in January 2020,

prompting Jerry to drive 90 minutes down to Collette's then-home of Santa Cruz.

Jerry took several creative liberties with his dating profile, including a red convertible he didn't own, and a name nobody called him by. Yet despite the embellishments, Collette and "Remy" hit it off spectacularly, and shared a whirlwind six weekends before the world locked down in March.

Then, in what is roundly considered a dumb move, Jerry coerced his roommate Luigi into letting his new partner of six weeks move in with them. But in a master stroke of diplomacy, Collette was able to restore harmony with a delicious home-cooked meal.

The world reopened, Jerry bought Luigi's convertible, and Collette headed to LA to buy USC's Master's Degree of Fine Arts in Interactive Media. Over distance and time, Collette and Jerry found many challenges, but none they couldn't surmount together.

Last September, while heading home on the Pacific Coast Highway, Jerry pulled over to ask Collette a very important question. Dashcam footage of this question will be made public on March 6, 2027.

Collette, Jerry, and their best man Luigi live together to this day.
